Terms of Service

ScriptCoverage.ai is AI-powered screenplay coverage built on the STOP WRITING! methodology — a framework I've developed over a decade of professional script coaching. The analysis is delivered by dAIvid, an AI trained on how I read and respond to scripts.

The coverage is meant to be useful. It's not gospel. It's one perspective, delivered with care and rigor, that you can argue with and refine through the conversation built into the product.

I want to be unambiguous about this:

• You own your script. Full stop. Uploading it does not transfer any rights to Every Story LLC. And if someone else uploaded your script, you still own it. Nothing about this service transfers any rights in your script, regardless of who pressed the upload button.
• We do not use your script to train AI models. Not ours, not anyone else's. Your work is not training data.
• We do not share your script with third parties. It is not sold, licensed, syndicated, or made available to anyone else, except as necessary to provide the service (for example, processing through the AI infrastructure that powers the coverage, under contracts that prohibit any other use).
• Your script is encrypted in transit and at rest.
• You can request deletion of your script and your coverage data at any time. Email support@scriptcoverage.ai and we'll handle it.

The limited license you grant by uploading is narrow and specific: Every Story LLC may process the script for the purpose of generating coverage and delivering the service to you. That license ends when the processing ends and the coverage is delivered, except to the extent we retain coverage materials for your account access.

If you're using this service to evaluate scripts you're considering for production, representation, or development, welcome. This is a legitimate use of the product and I built it knowing you'd use it. A few expectations, because I owe it to the writers whose work you upload:

• Only upload scripts you've received through proper channels. If a writer, agent, manager, or contest submitted the script to you for consideration, you can use this tool to help evaluate it. If you got it some other way, don't.
• Don't share the coverage outside your evaluation process. The coverage we generate for you is for your internal decision-making. It is not for distribution to the writer (unless you choose to share it), to other producers, or to any public forum.
• The writer still owns the script. Your coverage rights end where the writer's authorship begins. Nothing in your use of this service gives you any rights to the underlying work.
• If a writer asks whether their script was processed through an AI tool, tell them honestly. We built this product on the principle that the line between human and AI work stays visible. That principle extends to you.

A producer reading slate-level volume through this product has different needs than a writer running coverage on their own work, and we want to make sure both use cases are served well.

It is understood that when you send a script to a producer, manager, agent, contest, or writing program, more than one person will read it. A development team. A coverage department. A panel of contest readers. Your work moves through a chain of eyes — that has always been how the industry works.

ScriptCoverage.ai is another set of eyes in that chain. The function is the same. The methodology is mine — and unlike a room full of interns taking scripts home over the weekend, this set of eyes doesn't make copies, doesn't share with friends, and doesn't remember your script after the read is done.

dAIvid operates under The Artistic Constitution, a framework I developed for how AI should work with artists. The full document lives at artisticintelligence.ai. The principles that govern this product:

• Amplify, don't replace. dAIvid is a coach, not a co-author. The product does not write your script, rewrite your script, or generate pages on your behalf.
• Stay visible. The line between your work and the AI's contribution is always clear. dAIvid's notes are notes. Your script is your script.
• Be diplomatically honest. False encouragement is not a kindness. dAIvid will tell you where your script stands, not where you'd like it to stand.
• Protect independence. The product is built to make you a better writer, not a more dependent one. The conversation at the end of the coverage is structured to put judgment back in your hands.

These aren't aspirational. They're enforced through the system architecture — the prompt design, the model behavior, the conversation flow, the scoring methodology. If you ever feel like the product violated one of these principles, tell us, and we'll fix it.

Your screenplay: Yours. Always yours. Covered above.

The coverage itself: The analysis generated for you is yours to use however you want — share it with your manager, post it on your blog, hand it to a producer, frame it on your wall. The structure, format, presentation, and underlying methodology of the coverage are the intellectual property of Every Story LLC, but the words written about your script belong to you.

The STOP WRITING! methodology: The analytical framework is the intellectual property of Every Story LLC and is licensed for use in the service. You're welcome to apply what you learn from your coverage to your own writing — that's the whole point. You are not authorized to reproduce, redistribute, or reverse-engineer the methodology to build a competing product or service.

The service itself: ScriptCoverage.ai, including all software, branding, trademarks, system prompts, model configurations, and underlying systems, is owned by Every Story LLC and protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and trade secret law.

Coverage is a one-time fee per script. Payments are processed through Stripe.

Refund policy:

• If the service fails to deliver coverage because of a technical error on our end, you get a full refund. No questions, no friction.
• If your script can't be processed for a mechanical reason — corrupted PDF, formatting issue we can't parse — full refund.
• We can't refund based on disagreement with the coverage. Coverage is a perspective. Sometimes the perspective lands hard. That's not a defect of the service; that's what you're paying for.

Credits never expire. If you buy a credit pack and don't use it for a year, the credits are still there.

You agree not to:

• Upload work you don't have the rights to.
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer the methodology, extract the system prompts, or replicate the analytical pipeline.
• Share your account with other people.
• Upload malicious files or attempt to compromise the service.

Every Story LLC reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these provisions, with or without notice.

Coverage is provided for informational and educational purposes. We built it to be the best AI-powered script coverage available, and we think it is, but we make no representation that following the notes will result in script sales, representation, or industry success. The entertainment industry is too complicated for any feedback tool to make those promises honestly.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
