Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Every Story LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with your use of ScriptCoverage.ai, the website located at scriptcoverage.ai, and any related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide to us, as well as information that is generated when you use the Service.
Information You Provide
- Account Information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and any other information you choose to provide during registration.
- Payment and Billing Information. When you purchase coverage or credits, we collect payment details such as credit card number, billing address, and transaction history. Payment processing is handled by our third-party payment processor (Stripe), and we do not store your full credit card number on our servers.
- Screenplay Content. Screenplays you upload to the Service, together with any intake form information you provide about the project, the genre, the format, or areas you want the analysis to focus on ("Script Content").
- Coverage Materials. The coverage outputs generated for you — the seven-pass analysis, page-level annotations, evaluation scores, Three Cs assessment, transcripts of your interactive Q&A sessions with dAIvid, and any revision roadmaps produced as a result.
- Communications. Information you provide when you contact us for support, submit feedback, or otherwise communicate with us.
Information Collected Automatically
- Technical Data. We collect information about your device and usage, including IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, referring URLs, pages visited, features used, and timestamps of activity.
- Usage Data. We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including coverage requests initiated, session duration, and interaction patterns within the Q&A interface. This helps us improve the Service and understand how features are used.
- Log Data. Our servers record information when you access the Service, including request details, system activity, and error reports. We log metadata about AI processing — token counts, model used, timestamps — for billing accuracy and abuse detection. We do not maintain a separate observability log of the content of your Q&A messages or coverage outputs. Your Q&A transcripts and Coverage Materials are stored in your account so you can return to them, and are accessible to you through the Service. See Section 7 below for the narrow circumstances under which the content of stored materials may be reviewed.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Operate and Maintain the Service. To provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including processing your script through the seven-pass analytical pipeline, delivering coverage outputs, facilitating the interactive Q&A with dAIvid, and generating revision roadmaps.
- Process Payments. To process coverage purchases, manage credit pack balances, issue receipts, and handle refund requests.
- Communications. To send you transactional emails (such as coverage-ready notifications, account confirmations, billing receipts, and security alerts), respond to your inquiries, and provide customer support. With your consent, we may send occasional updates about new features or improvements. You can opt out of non-essential communications at any time.
- Analytics and Improvement. To analyze aggregated usage patterns, diagnose technical issues, and improve the functionality, reliability, and user experience of the Service. This analysis does not involve reading the substantive content of your scripts or coverage.
- Fraud Prevention and Security. To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security risks, and technical issues that may harm us, our users, or the public.
- Legal Compliance. To comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or enforceable governmental requests.
3. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate and improve the Service. Cookies are small data files stored on your device that help us remember your preferences, authenticate your sessions, and understand how you use the platform.
- Essential Cookies. Required for the Service to function, including authentication, session management, and security.
- Analytics Cookies. Help us understand how users interact with the Service so we can improve performance and usability.
- Preference Cookies. Remember your settings to provide a more personalized experience.
Most web browsers allow you to manage cookie preferences through their settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Service.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or your Script Content to third parties. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers. We share information with third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Service, including payment processors (Stripe), hosting providers (Vercel, Supabase), AI model providers (Anthropic), and email delivery services. These providers are contractually obligated to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
- Legal Requirements. We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process, such as a subpoena, court order, or government request.
- Protection of Rights. We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others, to investigate fraud, or to respond to a government request.
- Business Transfers. If Every Story LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in ownership or control of your information.
5. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party services that are not operated by us. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through the Service.
Our third-party providers include, but are not limited to: payment processing (Stripe), cloud hosting and database infrastructure (Vercel, Supabase), and AI model providers (Anthropic). Each of these services operates under its own privacy policy and data handling practices.
6. Script Content & Confidentiality Principles
Your Script Content remains yours. We do not claim ownership of any intellectual property in any screenplay you upload to the Service. You retain all rights, title, and interest in your Script Content, subject to the rights of the underlying author if you are not the author yourself.
We treat your Script Content as confidential. Access to your Script Content is limited to the systems and personnel necessary to provide and maintain the Service. We do not review, share, or publish your Script Content except as necessary to deliver the coverage to you, or as required by law.
A note about third-party uploads. ScriptCoverage.ai is designed for use by writers analyzing their own work and by industry professionals (producers, executives, agents, managers, contest readers) evaluating scripts received through proper channels. If you upload a script you did not write, you represent that you have the authority to do so under the Terms of Service. The author retains all rights in the underlying screenplay regardless of who pressed the upload button, and our confidentiality obligations run to the work itself, not solely to the uploader.
You may export or delete your Script Content and your Coverage Materials at any time through the Service. Upon account deletion, we will remove your Script Content and Coverage Materials from our active systems within a reasonable timeframe, subject to any retention required for legal or compliance purposes. Backup copies may persist for a limited period in accordance with our standard data retention practices.
7. AI and Model Usage
The Service uses Anthropic's Claude to power the seven-pass analytical pipeline and the interactive Q&A with dAIvid. Your Script Content and your Q&A messages are processed by Claude to deliver the functionality of the Service.
We do not use your Script Content, your Coverage Materials, or your Q&A conversations to train AI models. Not our models, not Anthropic's, not any third party's. Under Anthropic's Commercial Terms, API data is contractually prohibited from being used to train their models. Anthropic's default API data retention is seven (7) days.
We may use aggregated, anonymized, and de-identified usage data — such as average token counts, common file formats, or feature usage patterns — to improve our products and services. Such data does not include the substantive content of your scripts, your coverage, or your conversations, and cannot reasonably be used to identify you or reconstruct your Script Content.
Limited human review. In two narrow circumstances, the founder of ScriptCoverage.ai (David Cornue) may review stored Q&A transcripts or Coverage Materials: (1) when you contact us about an issue with your coverage and reviewing the content is necessary to resolve your request, and (2) on an occasional basis, as part of quality control to ensure that the methodology is being applied and that the Service is performing as intended. This review is limited to the founder; no other person at Every Story LLC, no contractor, and no third party accesses your content for these purposes. Quality control review is sampled and is not used to evaluate you as a writer or to make any decision about your account. If you want to opt out of inclusion in quality control sampling, email privacy@scriptcoverage.ai and we will exclude your account.
AI-generated outputs are provided for informational and creative assistance purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, originality, or suitability of any AI-generated content. You are solely responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and deciding how to use the coverage you receive.
8. Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit (TLS 1.2 or higher) and at rest (AES-256), regular security assessments, access controls, and secure development practices.
Your password is never stored in plaintext. It is hashed using industry-standard cryptographic methods before being written to the database.
No method of transmission over the internet and no method of electronic storage is secure. While we strive to protect your personal information and your Script Content, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account.
For a plain-English overview of our security practices and infrastructure, see our Security page.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:
- Access. The right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction. The right to request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
- Deletion. The right to request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions.
- Portability. The right to receive your personal information in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.
- Opt-Out. The right to opt out of non-essential communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in our emails or by contacting us.
California Residents (CCPA/CPRA). If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the California Privacy Rights Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, the right to correct inaccurate information, the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. As stated above, we do not sell your personal information.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@scriptcoverage.ai. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law.
10. Children's Information
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information. If you believe we may have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us at privacy@scriptcoverage.ai.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. We may also notify you through the Service or via email for significant changes. Your continued use of the Service after any changes to this Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page for the latest information.
